The awards were hosted by the Pet Industry Federation (PIF), the association for pet industry specialists, representing and raising the standards for all types of businesses in the pet industry for over 60 years.

Petface submitted the new Petface Planet product range for the sustainability category, a range of eco-influenced pet products carefully sourced from natural and recycled materials.

The debut “Rainforest Range” highlights animals living within the biodiversity of rainforest habitats - all made from recycled plastic bottles.

John Pullen, Director of Petface explained: “It won’t come as a surprise to many that sourcing recycled materials is relatively easy. However, we went to great lengths to understand the origin of all materials used and ensure they gained the relevant certification, giving ourselves and our customers the reassurance this is a truly award-winning eco-friendly range.

Winning the sustainability award at PIF, in addition to the pet accessory award at Glee 2021, reinforces our belief that we can all do our part in reducing the impact on the environment by using innovative and creative means in the manufacturing process.”
